So on my continued searches on genealogybank.com I came across a few newspaper articles that mentioned my 3rd Great Grandfather, Brig Gen Clark Crandall of Alfred, NY (1785 – 1862)

This first one says that he was a vice president of the Allegany agricultural society that had just been established in 1819….. Crandall – Clark Crandall Albany Gazette Oct 25th 1819

OK, this one is a personal favorite of items I’ve found on this website so far.  It says that Clark was shot by an intoxicated indian in the thigh.  Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up!… Crandall – Clark Crandall NY Daily Advertiser Nov 26th 1819

This one lists him as a member of the assembly of the New York State Legislature for the counties of Allegany and Steuben in January of 1820….Crandall – Clark Crandall Albany Argus Jan 4th 1820

This one lists Clark as a Judge and justice of the peace for Allegany County in February 1821… Crandall – Clark Crandall Albany Gazette Feb 20th 1821
